COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course, the student will focus on the period of the Patristic period to the Middle Ages. Emphasis will be given to doctrines relevant to the Christian traditions of the countries where the students come from. It approaches the subjects historically as well as topically, and sets the development of the various doctrines in the context of the life of the church in the first five centuries of its existence.







COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to analyze and provide basic resources addressing the content, form and style of Christian interaction with specific cultures. Guidelines derived from Scripture, history and the social sciences are employed. Attention is paid to the impact of context, needs and special communication sensitivities called for among special groups. Consideration is also given to how and where God is working in order to plan for maximum harmony with it.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

A study of the basic literary features, historical background, and the theological significance of the Old Testament, with attention also to the origin of the Old Testament canon. Concern for the ministry of preaching and teaching will guide lectures, discussions, and class requirements.
